Poetry: Tightrope

It’s a fine line, a tightrope we walk. Here is a powerful, little piece I wrote in 2017 perfect for a pandemic.

I’m walking a tightrope.

Narcissist, self-loathing.

I’m capable of anything,

but do nothing right.

I am perfection, destruction.

I am damaged, recovered.

Keep my balance or plunge to my death.

The pressure is too much.

Sometimes I can’t move,

for fear of falling.
